Wellbeing

At Mount Kelly Prep, we believe that wellbeing is the foundation for happy, confident learners. Our approach nurtures every child’s emotional, social, and mental health, helping them feel safe, valued, and supported every day.

Our dedicated pastoral team—including form tutors, house staff, and wellbeing specialists—work closely with pupils and families to create a caring and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We prioritise open communication, encouraging children to share their thoughts and feelings and build resilience.

Wellbeing is woven through the curriculum and daily life. From PSHE lessons that develop self-awareness, empathy, and healthy habits, to mindfulness activities and opportunities for outdoor learning, we help pupils develop the skills they need to manage challenges with confidence and kindness.

We also offer tailored support for pupils who need extra help, ensuring no one feels alone. Our strong community spirit, regular opportunities for reflection, and focus on respect and compassion help children build positive relationships and a real sense of belonging.

At Mount Kelly Prep, wellbeing isn’t just a priority—it’s a way of life.
